Firma "Avgust" AO
AO Firma "Avgust" – a leading manufacturer of plant protection products – set a goal to expand its equipment fleet for the micronization process of raw materials. |
The main task of this project was to find equipment capable of producing a high-dispersion, homogeneous composition through dry grinding, which will further be used in the development of new agricultural products. |
Laboratory Jet Mill |
To achieve this goal, the laboratory was equipped with a jet mill MC DecJet50 from the Swiss manufacturer Dec. A key feature of this installation is the use of a ring with nozzles directly machined into it, providing highly precise geometry. This design ensures more uniform particle size distribution during micronization.

The installation of the K-Tron volumetric feeder with a twin-screw system solved the issue of stability and reproducibility: the consistent powder feed is maintained throughout the entire grinding process.

First Trials |
After setting the technological parameters determined experimentally, the technologists were able to micronize a trial batch of raw materials. Even in the first trial, the initial components were micronized to the target parameters:

Results |
The successful launch of the laboratory installation enables AO Firma "Avgust" to conduct its own research, and the unified design of the Dec jet mill chamber makes it possible to transition from a laboratory model to an industrial one while maintaining the achieved parameters.
