Unloading, weighing, sieving and Milling

The choice of a big-bag unloading system directly depends on the required level of insulation.

For high process and safety requirements, it is recommended to use a docking system based on DCS® and is a cylindrical stainless steel box with glove ports.

Complete unloading of the product is carried out using the plug-in system PTS Powder Transfer System®.

The Hanningfield Uni-Mill U-Series cone mills use a bottom driven impeller design that rotates inside a screen.

The MC DecJet® 30-150 series models are ideal for micronization of small volumes of product. The powder is fed at high speed into a cylindrical chamber where the particles are further accelerated by a stream of nitrogen or compressed air.

When particles moving in a spiral at different speeds collide, they are crushed. During the micronization process, smaller particles leave the chamber with the gas.

The DCS inverter is suitable for unpacking agglomerated products from barrels and allows operation under high tightness conditions (< 1 µg/m3).

The barrel is placed under the DCS station, docked with the system and pressurized, and then turned over by the engine. Thanks to the clod crusher integrated in the suction hopper, the product can be emptied without any problems.

In the absence of Process Analytical Technology (PAT), it is necessary to take samples for analysis in the laboratory. When sampling highly potent materials, the operation is usually a challenge both in terms of operator protection and the risk of cross-contamination.

APIs are often stored in double bag barrels. Dec offers a compact and simple sampling solution based on DCS® Drum Containment System for unloading barrels. The mobile system provides a high level of containment (less than 1 µg/m³). Sampling may be carried out in an inert atmosphere.

The MC DecJet® 200-500 series models are ideal for micronization of large batches of powders (500g - 800kg/h). The powder is fed at high speed into a cylindrical chamber where the particles are further accelerated by a stream of nitrogen or compressed air.

The unpacking extraction station is a system designed for manual unloading of product from small bags.

The operator opens the bags and pours the powder into the chamber, from where the product enters the container or hopper through the grate.

The system can be equipped with a built-in clod breaker, an empty bag removal port and a weighing system for accurate dosing.

The DVC is a cost-effective drum emptying solution with no operator exposure, suitable for OEB 3 products.
