The 7th International Partnering Forum Life Sciences Invest.Ratnering Russia was held in St. Petersburg
Representatives of business, government, science and educational community gathered at the Taleon Imperial Hotel to sum up the development of pharmaceutics, biotechnology and other life sciences during the year. During the opening ceremony, the acting governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Govorunov, mentioned that the pharmaceutical industry is one of the fast growing sectors of the urban economy.
Dmitry Chagin, chairman of the board of the Association of the Eurasian Economic Union in the pharmaceutical market, also noted the importance of the pharmaceutical industry, which is an important component of the national security of the country and emphasized the growth of the industry in St. Petersburg.
The main session of the forum - "IV Industrial revolution: main trends and ways of pharmaceutical industry development", which also addressed the issue of functioning of the unified market of the EEU. Thus, the Minister for Technical Regulation of the ECE Valery Koreshkov positively evaluated the work of the single market of medicines in the EEU, which is in force since May of this year. Yulia Mikheyeva, director of the Department for Social Development of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, noted that the Forum has become a traditional platform where business, government, scientists search a balance of interests.
The second day of the Forum was opened by the thematic session "Innovative Approach in the Training of Pharmaceutical and Medical Personnel", which was attended by heads of staff departments of leading pharmaceutical companies. In addition, on the second day of the Forum, a seminar "Practical issues of the preparation of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (Patent Cooperation Treaty) for the protection of intellectual property in the countries of the Middle East and China" was held.
As noted his moderator, head of the department of chemical technology of medicinal substances SPCPA Boris Lalaev, "pharmaceuticals are the most innovative and at the same time sensitive to the issues of intellectual property industry, it is associated with its social significance."
In addition to these sessions and seminars, during the 2 days of the forum, a number of other sessions and seminars were held, which concern the most significant issues and problems of the Russian pharmaceutical industry.
Alexey Martynov, member of the Council of the Leaders Club and co-founder of company "X-TECH" actively participated in this forum. The topical issues of the company's interaction with the participants of the Russian pharmaceutical market were discussed.
