Seminar "Modern technologies for the automation of pharmaceutical production. Pharma 4.0" was held at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia
What is Pharma 4.0? To begin with, it is a continuous collection and analysis of data coming from the production equipment in the course of a complete technological process for the production of a medicinal product, which makes it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of the entire production.
Automation of processes, which is one of the results of the use of Pharma 4.0, allows to minimize risks associated with production processes, to minimize human factors errors and, as a result, to ensure high quality products, - noted in his greeting speech Alexey Alekhin, Director of the Department of development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. - “It is necessary to introduce systems that allow to increase production efficiency, and this will affect, in general, on the competitiveness of the industry, and on the competitiveness of products that will be supplied not only to the Russian market, but also abroad.”
During the seminar, speakers shared their experiences and presented new developments in the field of automation. Frederick Dietrich, General Director of DEC, spoke about technologies to increase productivity by linking technological processes.
Chris Coetzee, Optel Group, introduced the fourth industrial revolution as a new global trend, explaining how digital technology affects companies and what is the meaning of smart supply chains.
