The production and processing of high performance sterile APIs in a multipurpose plant is becoming more and more common in the pharmaceutical industry. All Dec sealing technologies and systems meet pharmaceutical manufacturing quality standards and are suitable for aseptic operations. They can be easily integrated into existing production lines. Dec has developed various solutions for sterile isolators with particular control over potential sources of contamination. Operator intervention, which is the most common cause of infection, has been eliminated. To ensure a guaranteed level of sterility, the isolator is biodecontaminated with VHP (Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide) and the process equipment is steam sterilized. Depending on process requirements, Dec can provide isolation systems for both turbulent and laminar airflow. Turbulent air flow occurs where a positive pressure drop and clean, i.e. aseptic conditions and/or a safe environment are maintained by a forced ventilation system, which is mainly used when handling powder with the risk of dust.
