Dec has also developed a flexible drum sampling solution with reduced cleaning requirements and lower operating costs. Unlike the standard DCS® sampling system, the flexible version consists of a rigid base to seal the drums, as well as a top flexible casing for system control and sampling. The system provides good visibility and greater freedom of movement. The advantages of combining a rigid base and a flexible system are to avoid contamination of the drum during the sampling procedure and to prevent the formation of liners residues around the drums after the undocking procedure. The DCS® Flexible Sampling System includes a spray system to decontaminate the system before disconnecting.

The MPTS can be used to take samples from sterile processes without compromising sterility. A sterile barrier separates the system from the sampling process. The vacuum generated by the MPTS prevents contamination of the process. The system is fully automated with safety interlocks and appropriately positioned valves for flushing and sterilizing the line. The sampling container can be installed in a ventilated safety cabinet, which provides complete protection for the operator from depressurization or breakage of the bottle connection. The cabinet is connected to an exhaust system, which ensures a safe condition when removing and replacing the bottle. The panel includes a front window for good visibility during operation and a drain connection for cleaning.

When sampling a toxic powder, bottles must be connected and removed in isolation. Dec can provide compact and ergonomically designed sample bottle integration gloveboxes that provide a high level of containment - less than 0.1µg/m3. The glove box can be passive or with an active filtration and venting system and include an RTP system or an airlock for bottle entry and removal.

The MC DecJet® 200-500 series models are ideal for micronization of large batches of powders (500g - 800kg/h). The powder is fed at high speed into a cylindrical chamber where the particles are further accelerated by a stream of nitrogen or compressed air.
When particles moving in a spiral at different speeds collide, they are crushed. During the micronization process, smaller particles leave the chamber with the gas.
